Rehoboth Evangelistic Church was established in August of 1997, under the leadership of Apostle Dr. I.D. Harris Sr. The name "Rehoboth" was delivered to Apostle Harris prophetically by Apostle Linda Threat, of South Bend, Indiana. The name "Rehoboth" represents the final homeland of Isaac, son of Abraham, as illustrated in Genesis 26:22. Rehoboth's meaning is " .... for now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land."

 

Rehoboth is a revolving-door ministry for training men and women in the five-fold ministry, as well as in lay leadership and mission responsibilities. The anointing of the Holy Spirit upon Rehoboth mandates that leadership operate in the very essence of integrity, excellence, love, and a spirit of humility and servitude. Leadership training is embedded in order and structure, and the fruitfulness of ministry that comes from life experiences.

Rehoboth has helped to establish and organize churches under its banner, ordaining, licensing, and consecrating men and women to the work of the Gospel. Rehoboth supports the international apostolic ministry of its Pastor, Apostle Dr. I.D. Harris Sr., sending him even to the coasts of Africa, and looks to do the same in the coming years.
